Varun Sandesh admitted to hospital with Typhoid

Actor Varun Sandesh, who will be seen next in Manchu Mohanbabu and Allari Naresh's multi-starrer 'Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu' has has been admitted in a private hospital in Hyderabad for typhoid and dengue. Varun's long cherished girl friend Vithika Sheru announced the news on Twitter.

“My fiance @iamvarunsandesh is down with TYPHOID and DENGUE!!Hope he gets better by December 7th PLS PRAY FOR HIM #hospitalised [sic],” posted Vithika on her micro-blog on Tuesday morning.

Varun Sandesh and Vithika Sheru are getting engaged on December 7th in Hyderabad with the blessings of both the families and the function is going to be held in a five star hotel. The wedding may take place early next year.

Shakun Batra's "Kapoor & Sons" first look in January 2016

Siddharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan, Alia Bhatt and Rishi Kapoor starring Kapoor & Sons shooting is going on in brisk pace. Shakun Batra of 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' is directing the movie and Karan Johar is the producer. Now the latest news is that the first look of Kapoor & Sons will release in early January 2016.

Rishi Kapoor who is quite active on Twitter revealed the news in his latest tweet. Rishi wrote "Quite gung-ho about "Kapoor&Sons". Watch for the first look early January,hopefully! I am diametrically diffrent !

Fawad Khan and Sidharth Malhotra are also going to play writers in the film. Their characters will fight with each other to prove who is better and Rishi Kapoor will be playing grandfather to warring brothers. Buzz is that Rishi will be seen in an altogether new avatar in the family drama.

The movie is scheduled for release on 18th March 2016. 

Anushka's 'Size Zero' slated for October release

Actress Anushka Shetty is currently working on Prakash Kovelamudi’s forthcoming directorial "Size Zero". Arya is playing male lead in this Telugu-Tamil bilingual. Anushka will be seen as a obese woman in this movie whereas Arya plays as a fitness trainer to an obese Anushka. The Rudramadevi actress has gained nearly 12 kilos for her role in 2 months. If the latest buzz is to be believed, it is heard that the makers of this movie are planning to release the movie on October 2nd or in the first week of October. The logo of this movie was released yesterday and it is quite interesting with the tagline ‘Sannajaji Nadumu’. Keeravani has given the music for the film, which is produced by PVP cinemas.  The Tamil version has been titled as Inji Iduppazhagi.

Vikas Bahl's 'Shaandaar' first look poster released

The first look poster of Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's upcoming romantic comedy "Shaandaar" was released on Wednesday. Alia Bhatt shared the poster of the movie  and wrote “AND we are up!!!!This Dussehra make it SHAANDAAR !! @shahidkapoor #ShaandaarFirstLook #SHAANDAARonDUSSEHRA .”

The first look features Shahid, looking smart in a leather jacket and a beard, while holding the quirkily dressed Alia, who is seen planting a kiss on her co-star's cheek.

Shahid and Alia are pairing together for the first time and the movie features Pankaj Kapur, Sanjay Kapoor, Karan Johar, Shahid’s sister Sanah in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Vikas Bahl of 'Queen' fame and is co-produced by Dharma Productions along with Phantom Films. Shaandaar tells the story of two insomniacs who fall in love at a destination wedding. The film's official trailer will be out on August 11th.

Akshay Kumar's 'Brothers' new poster released

Karan Malhotra's forthcoming action thriller Brothers is slated to release on August 14. Akshay Kumar, Siddharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez, Jackie Shroff  and Shefali Shah are playing lead roles in this much awaited movie.  The above poster was shared on the film's Twitter account @Brothers2015 with the caption, "David and Jenny redefine love in #Brothers. As soon as the poster was released, #BrothersAug14 started trending on Twitter.

'Brothers' is an official Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film 'Warriors' and tells the story of two estranged brothers. 

'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' goes tax free in Uttar Pradesh

Salman Khan, who is currently riding high on the success of his recent release 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', has one more reason to smile. The news is that Bajrangi Bhaijaan has been declared tax free in the state of Uttar Pradesh which is just another feather on the film's hat. UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday announced tax free status for "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" which is smashing records at the box office. The movie was made tax free after director Kabir Khan met the chief minister with the request.

Produced by  Salman Khan and Rockline Venkatesh, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" revolves around a young speech-impaired girl from Pakistan who finds herself lost in India with no way to head back over the border to her home.
An Indian man (Salman Khan) undertakes the task to get her back to her home and reunite her with her family. Kareena Kapoor Khan played female lead role, while Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the role of a Journalist.

Thulasi to play Kajal's mother in 'Brahmotsavam'

Kajal Agarwal is pairing up with Mahesh Babu for the second time in his upcoming movie 'Brahmotsavam'. Directed by Srikanth Addala, Brahmotsavam  will be a bi-lingual movie and will be shot in Tamil as well as in Telugu. The movie went on floors recently and the regular shoot will begin from July 24th. Now the latest news is that actress Thulasi has been roped to play the role of Kajal's mother in the movie. Golden leg girl Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as second heroine. Mickey J Meyer composes music. The movie will be produced on a large scale by PVP Cinema.

Deepa Mehta's 'Beeba Boys' trailer released

The theatrical trailer of Deepa Mehta's latest directorial Beeba Boys has been released. Randeep Hooda, Waris Ahluwalia, Paul Gross, Sarah Allen and Ali Momen is playing lead roles. Randeep Hooda, who is the Beeba Boy in the film took to the micro b
logging site to share its trailer.

The film 'Beeba Boys' shows the life story of the late Indo-Canadian criminal Bindy Johal, who was gunned down brutally in 1998. The shooting schedules have been completed and the post-production works are progressing at a brisk pace. Based and inspired on true life stories it will release in Hindi, English and Punjabi on October 16 this year.

Dhanush's Maari censored with U certificate

Dhanush-Kajal Agarwal starrer 'Maari' has received a clean U certificate from the Censor Board and it has a runtime of about 132 minutes. It has already been announced to release on 17th July. The flick which is being helmed by Balaji Mohan also features Vijay Yesudoss, Robo Shankar in pivotal roles and the movie seems to be a wholesome entertainer. 'All is Well' trailer crosses two million views in 3 days

The theatrical trailer of Umesh Shukla's forthcoming rom-com "All is Well' has earned two million views in just three days of it release on YouTube. 'All is Well' starring Abhishek Bachchan, Asin, Rishi Kapoor, Supriya Pathak in lead roles is slated to release on August 21.  The 2 min 49 secs trailer sees Abhishek, Rishi Kapoor and Asin embarking on a road journey.

Abhishek Bachchan, who was last seen in "Happy New Year", took to twitter to thank his fans.

"And the trailer of #AllIisWell crosses 2million!! Wow! Thank you guys," Abhishek wrote.

Rishi Kapoor will be seen playing Abhishek's father in the movie. Asin is playing his love interest. Post 'Bol Bachchan', this will be second time that the actress Asin will share screen again with Jr. Bachchan. The shooting of the film was completed and the post production works have begun now with dubbing and mixing.

Hema Malini discharged from Fortis Hospital

Veteran actress and BJP MP from Mathura Hema Malini was discharged from Fortis hospital on Saturday at 9.30 am. The 66-year-old actress-turned politician sustained injuries when her Mercedes car collided with another vehicle on National Highway 11 near Dausa on Thursday night. Hema undergone a surgery for her wounds at the hospital yesterday. She was also treated for a minor fracture on her nose.

“She was discharged from the hospital at around 9.30 a.m.,” said Prateem Tamboli, facility director of Fortis Escorts Hospital.

A four-year-old girl was killed while five others were injured including the actress in the accident. Mahesh Chand Thakur, who was driving Hema’s car when it met with the accident, has been arrested at Kotwali Thana in Dausa. An FIR was lodged against the driver, who hails from Vrindavan, under various sections of IPC including 279 (rash driving) and 304 (A) (causing death by negligence not amounting to culpable homicide). Thakaur was on Friday produced before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Pallavi Sharma who granted bail to the driver. 

Kalki Koechlin starts her own theatre company

Actress Kalki Koechlin, who received critical acclaim for her roles in movies like Dev D, Shaitan, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Shanghai, Ek Thi Daayan and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has opened her own theatre company, "Little Productions" and will soon turn a play director too.

Kalki took to Twitter to make the announcement and shared the official Facebook page of Little Productions.

"So like, I'm all grown up, with my own theatre company and directing my first play. Here's our page https://www.facebook.com/littleproductionskalki...," the "Dev D" Kalki posted on her Twitter handle.

Kalki will be next seen in Soni Razdan's "Love Affair" alongside Gulshan Devaiah and  Ali Fazal.  "Love Affair' is based on the infamous Kawas Manekshaw Nanavati case of 1959. The story is about a naval commander who was tried for murdering his British wife’s lover.

'ABCD 2' crosses Rs. 100 crore mark with a bang

Choreographer turned Director Remo D'Souza directed dance drama "ABCD 2" has raked in Rs 100 crore worldwide in just one week. Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor played lead roles in ABCD 2 the sequel to 'ABCD- Any Body Can Dance' has been very much appreciated by dance lovers and also by the common audiences. The movie earned a whopping Rs 46 crore in the first weekend itself and now entered the Rs 100 crore club with a thunderous bang.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the film's collection which has been breaking records ever since its release, on his Twitter handle.

He posted, "#ABCD2 crosses  100 *gross* in less than 1 week WORLDWIDE... India gross  92.85 cr + Overseas gross  1.8 mn [11.45 cr]. SUPERB!"(sic.).

What is more amazing  is that the first week's collection has left behind 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' collection too as per Taran Adarsh.

"#ABCD2 records HIGHEST *Week 1* biz of 2015 [so far], overtaking *Week 1* biz of #TanuWedsManuReturns [₹ 70.02 cr]. India biz. Hindi films (sic.)".

Mahesh Babu impressed with 'Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini'

Sudheer Babu, Nanditha starring "Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini" which got released last friday got positive response from audience. Despite rains the movie is running to packed theaters in both states. Directed by Chandru, the film is the Telugu remake of a Kannada film, 'Charminar'. Recently, Mahesh Babu saw the movie in a special screening. Mahesh took the social media platform twitter to express his happiness and congratulate the 'KKI' team.

“Saw Krishnamma kalipindi idharini.. Genuine honest love story ..enjoyed watching it ..Sudheer has really come of age as an actor .. Loved his performance :) congrats to the entire team ..” (sic), Mahesh Babu wrote on his twitter page.

Nandu set to play an antogonist in Telugu-Hindi bilingua

Actor Nandoo, who have won many accolades for his performance in films like 100% Love, Autonagar Surya, Rabhasa, Ice Cream 2
and 365 Days will be seen essaying a full- length role with negative shades in a yet-untitled Telugu-Hindi bilingual.

"I've always wished to be part of good cinema, doing substantial roles and never quite worried about playing a hero or villain. I'm kicked about my role in this film. Rajeev Khandelwal plays my part in the Hindi version," Nandoo told.

To be directed by debutant Navneeth, the bilingual is set to go on floors on June 24 in Mauritius. Kannada producer Anji Nagaraju will be bankrolling this project.

Jayam Ravi's 'Bhooloham' releasing on July 3rd

Jayam Ravi's much delayed movie "Bhooloham" is finally set to hit the theaters on 3rd July.  Trisha is playing female lead opposite Ravi for the first time. The shooting of the film was completed longback and is lying dusted in film labs due to some financial crunch. After several postponements the film makers has finally locked the release date on July 3rd.

Jayam Ravi plays the role of a boxer and it was shot extensively in North Madras. Prakash Raj, Ponvannan are playing pivotal roles. Hollywood actor Nathan Jones will appear in the movie for a special fight sequence. Kalyan Krishnan who was earlier an assistant to S P Jananathan has directed the film. Imman has scored music for the film.

Big B attends 'Piku' screening at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Indian President Shri Pranab Mukherjee watched Shoojit Sircar's slice-of-life family entertainer 'PIKU' at a special screening at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Delhi yesterday. Amitabh Bachchan along with director Shoojit Sircar attended the special screening. The movie's other two stars- Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan gave a miss to the screening as they are currently out of country.  Big B post the screening said Pranab Mukherjee absolutely loved the movie, which is about a Bengali family.

"The Honourable President of India Shri Pranab Mukherji, tonight watched 'PIKU' and may I say with great reserve of modesty, he absolutely loved it! Most particular he seemed to have enjoyed the 'perfect' Bengali-Hindi accent, which he felt was flawless. He later invited us over for dinner and we continued to discuss the film and its merits," Bachchan posted on his blog last night.

Last year the actor's film "Bhootnath Returns", which highlighted the importance of voting, was screened for the President. Bachchan thanked the President for bestowing the honour once again.

"This then is the venue of our screening, much like the screening of 'Bhoothnath Returns'. Screening over the President welcomes us on stage and presents us with a gift that forms the memento's he presents and then invites us over for dinner, in one of the many ornate halls that this Palace possesses! It is an honour that cannot be replicated. Thank you Honorary President of India for your time and grace," he said.

Sudheer Babu to enter Bollywood with 'Baaghi'

Mahesh Babu's brother-in-law Sudheer Babu who scored a hit with 'Mosagallaku Mosagadu' is all set to make his foray in Bollywood. As per latest news Sudheer Babu has been roped to play an important role in 'Baaghi' directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. Jackie Shroff's son Tiger Shroff is playing the lead and Shraddha Kapoor playing female lead.

"Sudheer has already started shooting for the project. While not much is known about his role, he does have lot of scenes with Tiger in the film," a source told. Speculations are rife that Sudheer might be seen playing the role of an antagonist in the movie.

Sudheer Babu made his acting debut with "Shiva Manasulo Shakti". He shot to fame with the hit film Prema Katha Chitram. Sudheer is currently awaiting the release of Telugu romantic-drama "Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini".

Ajay Devgn's 'Drishyam' first look poster out

The first look of Ajay Devgn's forthcoming family thriller Drishyam has been released. The released poster shows Ajay donning a simple trouser and shirt sipping fruit juice by a road side stall. Shriya Saran is playing female lead opposite Ajay. Directed by Nishikanth Kamat the movie is the remake of Malayalam super hit film with the same title.

Ajay Devgn can be seen as a father of two kids in this film. Tabu is playing an important role. Produced by Kumar Mangath Pathak and Abhishek Mangath Pathak under the banner of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures the film is set to hit the screens on 31st July.

Shahrukh reveals Salman's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' first look

Bollywood Baadshah today released the first look of Salman Khan's upcoming movie 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' on Twitter. The 'Happy New Year' star posted the poster and captioned it "I believe Being a brother is bigger than being a Hero. 'Bhaijaan' coming Eid 2015. How do you like the first look?."

In the picture, Salman is seen wearing a brown sweater and a kurta of the same color under it. The highlight of the poster is the gada (mace)-shaped pendant hanging around his neck.

Kareena Kapoor Khan is playing female lead opposite Salman in this action entertainer. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is playing a pivotal role. The trailer of the film, which recently wrapped up its shooting in Kashmir is expected to hit tomorrow.
