Rajkummar Rao wraps up shooting for 'Shimla Mirchi'

Actor Rajkummar Rao who will be soon seen next opposite Vidya Balan in "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" has finished shooting for filmmaker Ramesh Sippy's upcoming film "Shimla Mirchi". The 'CityLights' actor took to micro-blogging website Twitter on Tuesday to share the news.

"And it's a wrap for #ShimlaMirchi. What an amazing experience it was with the genius #RameshSippy sir & @dreamgirlhema & @Rakulpreet," the 30-year-old
actor tweeted.

'Yaariyan' actress Rakul Preet Singh is playing female lead opposite Rajkummar Rao. Veteran actress Hema Malini is playing an important role. "Shimla Mirchi" is a romantic comedy film, and if reports are to be believed, it is a story about how a single mother and her daughter fall in love with the same man.

Ramya Krishna's intense look as Sivagami in 'Baahubali'

Director SS Rajamouli today released the first look poster of Ramya Krishna as Sivagami from his ambitious project "Baahubali-The Beginning". Rajamouli took to his twitter handle to release the poster. Sharing some more details about Sivagami, Jakkanna tweeted "Never before have I dealt with a character so intense and an actor so capable. She is the driving force for our whole unit in the past 2.5 years #Sivagami #EpitomeofJustice #Baahubali #LiveTheEpic".

Prabhas, Rana, Anushka Shetty, Tamanna, Nassar, Sudeep, Satyaraj, Adivi Sesh and Subbaraju are playing lead roles in this two-part period drama. The film is being produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works banner. Keeravani is composing tunes. The first
part titled Baahubali-The Beginning is slated to hit the screens on July 10th.

Karthi to romance Nayantara in 'Kashmora'

Actor Karthi who is riding high with the success with back to back hits like Madras and Komban is currently busy shooting for Vamsi Paidipally's multi-starrer in which he is sharing screen space with Akkineni Nagarjuna. The 'Siruthai' actor is getting ready with his next movie titled as ‘Kashmora’. The latest buzz is that in this movie Nayanatara is playing female lead role opposite to Karthi. Sri Divya will play the second lead. Gokul who proved his mettle with Rowthiram and IDHABA is directing the movie. Santosh Narayan will be scoring music.

Balakrishana 'Lion' passed censor with U/A


Nandamuri Balakrishna's forthcoming action entertainer "Lion" completed censor formalities today. The censor board has issued a U/A certificate for the film with some minor cuts and the run time of this film is locked to 149 minutes.  The movie is all set for a release on May 8th.

Balakrishna will be seen playing dual roles again in this movie. In one role he is playing the role of an powerful CBI offier. Trisha and Radhika Apte are playing female leads. Mani Sharma is the music composer. Satya Deva is debuting as director with this movie and Rudrapati Ramana Rao produces the flick on SLV Cinemas banner.

"Baahubali" first look poster released

SS Rajamouli's much-awaited film, 'Baahubali' has been making news since its inception. The film starring Prabhas, Anushka, Rana Daggubati and Tamannah Bhatia has finished the shooting and the post production is on at a fast pace.  Now the latest news is that Rajamouli has released the first look poster of the movie short while ago. Rajamouli took to Twitter to reveal the first look poster for the film in Telugu and Tamil. The released poster has a hand coming out of the sea, holding a crying baby in the palm.

'Baahubali' also features Ramya Krishna, Nasser, Sathya Raj,Adivi Sesh, Subbaraju in prominent roles.  As per sources, Prabhas plays the title role and Rana will be seen playing the negative role in this movie. The trailer of Baahubali – The Beginning will be released on May 31st. MM Keeravani is composing tunes and the audio of this movie is likely to be launched in the second week of June.  The movie produced by Prasad Devineni and Shobu Yarlagadda and under Arka Media Works banner is slated for the release on July 10th, 2015 worldwide in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi simultaneously.

Simbu to romance Trisha and Tapsee in his next


Actor Simbu who is awaiting the release of his upcoming movie "Vaalu" is all set to begin shoot for Selvaraghavan's upcoming action entertainer. Simbu and Selva are joining hands for the first time and this untitled movie created much anticipation among the audience. Now the latest update is that Selvaraghavan has roped in actresses Trisha and Tapsee to play female lead roles opposite Simbu in this crazy project.

Trisha confirmed the news in her twitter handle. She wrote ‘Sublimely happy 2 be on board wit d genius #kikassmode’.

The ‘Aadukalam’ girl Taapsee tweeted, ‘For everyone who wanted to see me in a full fledged action role, welcome Maria! Time to kickstart! Quite literally!’.

Simbu and Trisha have paired up on screen in Gautham Menon's superhit love entertainer 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya'. Tollywood star Jagapathy Babu is playing an important role in the film as well. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director. The film is expected
to go on the floors from May 6th.

RGV's next '365 Days' not about his marriage

Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's upcoming romantic drama "365 Days" is gearing up for release in May. RGV is making a comeback to the romance genre with 365 days. Nandoo and Anaika Soti are playing lead roles. In a recent media interaction RGV says the story of 365 Days, a peek in the life's of a couple post nuptials, is not based on his own marriage.

"It's the story of most couples nowadays. It's not based on my marriage. I penned the screenplay keeping in mind the emotions of a couple by looking at marriage from very close quarters," Varma told.

"I had a failed marriage. It was not because of my wonderful wife. It was because she got a bad husband," he said.

According to Varma, marriage will soon be an extinct concept. "A man and a woman need each other, but they can't live together by getting married. Marriage will no longer exist and people will prefer to be friends,"

Dhanush to act in Mani Ratnam's Hindi-Tamil bilingual

Ace Director Mani Ratnam who is riding high on the success of his recent release OK Kanmani has teamed up with Dhanush for this next Tamil-Hindi bilingual. In a recent media interaction Mani Ratnam has officially confirmed that Dhanush will work with him in his next flick.  The film is expected to go on the floors in June. Dhanush is currently working on the untitled Velraj project and Vetrimaaran's much anticipated Soodhadi post which he is expected to join the sets of Mani Ratnam's movie.

Mani Ratnam's OK Kanmani featuring Dulquer Salman, Nitya Menon, Prakash Raj opened to rave reviews from critics and audiences. The movie revolves around the story of young couple Aadi and Tara who decide to live together even before marriage.

Sonam begins shooting for Neerja Bhanot biopic

Actress Sonam Kapoor who is busy with the shooting schedules of Sooraj Barjatya's directorial tentatively titled 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' has started shooting for ace photographer Atul Kasbekar's debut production which is a biopic on Neerja Bhanot. 

Sonam took to twitter and wrote: "Day 1 of #NeerajBhanot thank you @foxstarhindi and @BlingLive for making this possible.. Let the journey begin! #nerves #excitement."

Bhanot was a flight attendant for Pan Am, based in Mumbai, India, who was gunned down by militants while saving passengers when Flight 73 was hijacked in Karachi on Sept 5, 1986. Posthumously, she became the youngest recipient of India's highest civilian award for bravery, the Ashok Chakra.

Photographer Atul Kasbekar, who is a producer with the film, tweeted: "#NeerjaBhanot Her story begins today... Wish us luck."

Actress Dia Mirza said: "To my @atulkasbekar @findingshanti @piyasawhney!!! May this be all that you hope for it to be :) lots of love and good wishes!

Ad filmmaker Ram Madhvani is directing the movie and the biopic has been tentatively titled 'Neerja'.

Akshay Kumar is done with Karan Malhotra's 'Brothers'


Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar is done with the shooting of Karan Malhotra's "Brothers". Akshay took to his twitter account and wrote “The last of the Love & Hugs of #Brothers. My final shot of a film that my Body & Soul will never forget!! Many Thanks.”

Produced by Dharma Productions, the film is an offical Hindi adaptation of Hollywood film “Warriors” and it tells the story of two estranged brothers.  Siddharth Malhotra will be seen as Akshay's brother in the movie. Jacqueline Fernandez is playing female lead and Kareena Kapoor will be seen in a special appearance.

The first look posters of 'Brothers' has been released recently and has managed to capture the attention of the movie buffs in a big way. The movie is scheduled to hit the screens on August 14.

Akshay's baby Nitara learns Yoga from Twinkle


Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar's adorable daughter Nitara Khanna is on her way to give tough competition to Yoga guru Baba Ramdev. Akshay's wife Twinkle has tweeted super cute image of Nitara observes her while practising her yoga aasanas. Mrs Funnybones aka Twinkle Khanna shared the picture in her Twitter handle with a caption saying, “Baba Ramdev you have some tough competition coming your way as Baby Nitara learns all the moves #YogaFilledLife.”

Nitara looks cute in her pink tracks, white top and socks with tied up hair. Interestingly, both and mother managed to hide their faces and just show the substance intended.

Twinkle Khanna often keeps posting cute pictures of Nitara.  Few days earlier she had posted a picture of Nitara along with her at a flower market. She tweeted, “The baby tags along with me to the flower market for the first time.”

Parineeti Chopra buys her dream home

Parineeti Chopra, who made her acting debut with "Ladies vs Ricky Bahl" is one among the most wanted actresses now in Bollywood. The actress who was last seen in Kill Dil is over the moon about having finally bought a "sea-view" apartment for herself in Mumbai's posh area Bandra. She says it was her dream to have a house in the city.

"I have finally found my house and bought it. I was dying to have a house in Mumbai and it has finally happened due to god's grace," Parineeti said here Monday at an event to announce her as the first female ambassador of clothing brand Siyaram.

"It's a beautiful sea-view apartment in Bandra so I am very happy," she added.

Interestingly, actress Preity Zinta also owns an apartment in the same complex in Bandra.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Parineeti has no project locked for the year. She says she has not decided on any film yet.

Priyanka Chopra completes 12 years in Bollywood

Actress Priyanka Chopra, who awaits the release of 'Dil Dhadakne Do' has completed 12 years in the Hindi film industry. The pretty actress took to Twitter to express her gratitude towards her fans and followers.

“Wow! 12 yrs! I came here as a scared lil 17 yr old. I thank u for accepting me and always giving my idiosyncrasies undying support. #Gratitude,” she wrote.

Priyanka made her Bollywood debut with 2003 spy thriller "The Hero: Love Story of a Spy". In the same year Priyanka played lead role in "Andaaz" -- for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.  PC has starred in more than 40 films including "Aitraaz", "Waqt: The Race Against Time", "Krrish", "Fashion" "Saat Khoon Maaf", "Don", "Barfi" and "Gunday". The 32-year-old was last seen playing the titular role in biopic "Mary Kom".

Apart from her acting skills, Priyanka has also shown her singing abilities alongside international artists Pitbull and Will.i.am.
